As a leader in hairdressing education in CT, we aim to teach our students about many aspects of the beauty industry. One of the most important skills, is in the area of client relations. During this age of COVID-19, these skills have become even more critical. Firstly, clients need to know that they will receive all of the services that they were previously accustomed before COVID-19. Secondly, clients need to know that our facilities are clean and safe. There is no better way to show that we are doing these both than from our clients themselves. After receiving any service at IIC, all clients are able to leave reviews where they can comment on several facets of the service they received, such as their overall opinion of the service, the cleanliness of the facility, and the interactions between our students and instructors. Here are several reviews left by clients since the reopening of our Wethersfield and Plainville salons in July 2020 that showcase the quality work that our students provide:
- Nicole (Plainville Student): She was attentive and asked many questions about how I wanted her to proceed. And when necessary she consulted her teacher. She did a GREAT job!
- Alexa (Wethersfield Student): Alexa was such a pleasure to have as my hair stylist! She was personable, keep good conversation, and was receptive to any feedback I had during the cutting process. I will definitely be coming back and requesting her specifically!
- Aliya (Plainville Student): If I wasn’t in the school I would have thought Aliya had already graduated. She was very professional made me feel comfortable. She was always concerned for my comfort. And she followed all the guide lines for Covid-19. Thank you for my new look.
- Cole (Wethersfield Student): Cole did an absolutely amazing job. She is so crazy talented and I left feeling confident and thrilled. I would absolutely recommend her to a friend.
In addition, a great way to consider our clients’ experiences is to look at when students work with their peers to achieve the desired look. For instance, here is a review that focuses on the team approach:
Alexa/Victoria/Kaylee (Plainville Students): Alexa was great. This was the first time she worked on a client with long, long hair. She took her time and did a wonderful job. I would say she should try and have more confidence in herself. She is a wonderful hairdresser and knows her stuff. Victoria started on my daughter’s balayage. This was the first time my daughter sat in a chair to get her hair done and both Victoria and Kaylee made her feel very comfortable…Rather than rushing to get the haircut and no blow-out I suggested we come back the next day to get the cut and style this way my daughter could get the full service. Overall, both girls did a great job on the balayage and my daughter is ecstatic with her hair. We can’t wait to see the final end product.
