Student Tazjae Jones, cosmetology student, created this colorful updo using traditional pin curls. She first colored Aqua hair extensions with Wella color fresh create hair color.
She wanted to show all the colors so she designed swirls in the back. Miss Aleta instructed her on the idea to do the front wave to tie everything in. Tazjae had a soft teal peekaboo in the back of the hair.
The extension colors gradually fade into it. She twisted part of the pin curl to hide the bobby pins. The rounded shape of the design keeps the overall look soft, while the bold color makes the updo pop.
