✨What made you decide cosmetology & go to IIC?
Lauren chose to attend cosmetology school because of a lifelong passion for hair, beauty, creativity, and helping people feel confident. Cosmetology felt like the ideal career path, especially because hands-on learning provides the best educational experience. The International Institute of Cosmetology was selected as the place to develop skills, gain real salon experience, and explore creativity every day.
✨My Ah Hah moments in school were (times you realized this is what you should be doing)?
Some of the biggest “aha” moments came from seeing clients leave the chair feeling happier and more confident than when they arrived. The impact of cosmetology became even more meaningful through the friendships and connections built with clients as a result of the services provided.
✨Where do you see yourself when you finish school?
After graduation, the goal is to work in a salon environment that offers continued learning opportunities, client growth, and professional development as a stylist. Long-term aspirations include owning a salon and building a strong social media presence to showcase work, attract future clients, and expand professional opportunities.
✨What advice would you give someone looking into Cosmetology school?
For anyone considering cosmetology school, the advice is simple: take the leap. Do not be afraid to make mistakes, as mistakes often lead to growth and improvement. Stay patient, ask questions, and take advantage of every opportunity to practice. Cosmetology school can be challenging at times, but dedication, persistence, and hard work make the journey incredibly rewarding and well worth the effort.
