At our beauty school, we go beyond basics and teach updated techniques that give you the competitive edge you need to rise in the industry. All students at our school have access to our extensive career services, including resume-building help, interviewing skill development, and an updated job board.
Success as a makeup artist begins with understanding how to enhance every client’s unique beauty. Students receive a professional makeup kit featuring industry leading products and Omnia professional brushes while learning advanced color theory, shade matching, and complexion techniques for all skin tones and undertones. This comprehensive approach helps prepare graduates to serve diverse clients with confidence and professionalism.

I previously graduated from IIC in 2017 from the aesthetics program. I returned to the school because of how well they treat their students and the education I received was amazing.
Since starting on my journey to becoming a hair stylist at International Institute of Cosmetology, I have been inspired in ways I never could have imagined. When you walk into the school, you immediately feel a part of a family.
Ms. Jessica was a great teacher who not only taught us what we needed to know but taught us from her own experiences as a lash technician and business owner. I enjoyed this class and would recommend to others.
Due to the short length of this program, the Department of Education does not permit federal Financial Aid for this program. However, you could still find alternative funding from scholarships, a loan from your bank or credit union, or a Sallie Mae® loan. Our school offers a split payment option to help make it easier to pay the tuition cost.
No, the state of Connecticut currently does not have a makeup artist license. Completion of our Makeup Artistry Program results in certification.
Since Connecticut has an Eyelash Extension License, only strip lashes are applied in the Makeup Artistry class. Our school does offer a 50-hour Eyelash Technician Program, if you are interested in learning more about eyelash extensions.
Students receive a professional makeup kit from Muse Pro, which includes a variety of professional-grade products and tools. A professional Omnia brush set is also included. The kit is yours to keep after completing the program.
