FINANCIAL AID OFFICER
JOB DESCRIPTION- FULL TIME
The International Institute of Cosmetology (IIC) with campuses in Wethersfield, CT and Plainville, CT is looking for a Financial Aid Officer to assist students with all aspects of Federal Student Aid.
Responsibilities:
- Counsel students and parents about financial aid eligibility, federal aid programs, application process and procedures, and financial need in accordance with Title IV Federal regulations
- Meet directly with students and parents to review financial aid award package
- Coordinate with Admissions counselors to provide effective and seamless student recruitment, entry, and enrollment process
- Conduct financial need analysis and determine eligibility for Title IV Federal Aid programs, input financial aid awards into a system
- Ensure that awarded financial aid is packaged in accordance with Title IV regulations in regards to disbursement dates, verification completed if applicable, and appropriately disbursed and credited to the students’ account
- Provide direction to students on how to resolve data conflicts which result from application misinformation
- Review appeal documents for accuracy and completeness prior to submission to Director of Financial Aid
- Perform entrance and exit counseling to students upon graduation and during initial packaging appointment
- Assist with financial aid workshops or outreach programs for students, parents, faculty and staff
- Assist with IPEDS surveys and other annual reporting requirements
- Assist with Compliance audits.
- Develop and maintain current knowledge of financial aid programs and eligibility requirements by attending training, workshops and conferences.
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree and/or financial aid experience-preferred
- High School Diploma-required
- At least 3 years of experience in Financial Aid administration
- Knowledge of all federal systems, including COD and NSLDS
- Ability to multi-task while maintaining organization
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office and Excel
- Must have a positive attitude and ability to interact with different personalities
- Travel between campuses as needed
- Clock hour school experience preferred

SOCIAL MEDIA ASSOCIATE
JOB DESCRIPTION– FULL TIME
International Institute of Cosmetology is looking for an energetic Social Media Associate with great communication skills. Someone able to capture organic content and edit it to be used across our social media accounts. Candidate should be someone who is up on current social media trends and can be a self starter.
Experience:
- Develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement
- Create and curate engaging content for social media platforms, including Instagram, Tiktok, Facebook/Threads, Twitter, and LinkedIn
- Monitor social media channels for trends, insights, and opportunities
- Manage social media advertising campaigns to drive traffic and conversions
- Conduct market research to identify target audience and optimize social media content accordingly
- Track and analyze key metrics to measure the success of social media campaigns
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in social media marketing
Skills:
- Proficient in social media marketing strategies and tactics
- Strong proofreading and editing skills to ensure accurate and error-free content
- Experience with advertising on social media platforms, including Facebook Ads Manager and Google Ads
- Familiarity with graphic/video editing software/apps
- Basic photography/videography skills to capture high-quality images for social media posts
- Knowledge of social media management tools like Hootsuite or Sprout Social to schedule and monitor posts
