✨What made you decide cosmetology & go to IIC?
Initially I decided to go to IIC due to proximity, but my deciding factor was the many previous students that were telling me to attend this school specifically.
✨My Ah Hah moments in school were (Times you realized this is what you should be doing)?
My biggest Ah Hah moments were; when a client told me no matter where I go after school, she would follow me as she loves the way I do her hair so much. And when a client texted me after her appointment to tell me that she hopes I achieve all my dreams and my talent and love for hair will get me very far.
✨Where do you see yourself when you finish school?
Finishing school feels like a pivotal era in my life is coming to a close. When I finish school I have so many plans for my future. I want to make hair products, I want to make everyone in my chair to feel so special they remember that experience forever. Leaving school will be me opening the door to changing lives. So where do I see myself after school? Changing lives one head of hair at a time.
✨What advice would you give someone looking into Cosmetology school?
Advice I want someone to hear badly while looking into cosmetology school is do it. Stop holding it off and stop running away from your dreams. You live one life, don’t let it come to a close and you didn’t do what you loved. Just do it.

I decided to go school after finishing college and realizing the place I felt most passionate about and most at home was the salon I’d spent the last 6 years receptioning at.
✨My Ah Hah moments in school were (times you realized this is what you should be doing)?Where do you see yourself when you finish school?
The most memorable ah hah moment I have during my time at school was taking a client who’d been neglecting her hair for months. More than anything she needed someone to make her feel like herself again. That moment was less about the performance and art of hair and more about making sure a client FEELS as beautiful as they are and I’ll remember that day for the rest of my hair career.
✨What advice would you give someone looking into Cosmetology school?
Advice I would give to students looking into cosmetology school is to take the leap and follow through with it. Show up for yourself every day and absorb as much as you can because this world is so vast and rewarding and there’s something for everyone in it.
