✨What made you decide cosmetology & go to IIC?
What made me decide cosmetology and going to iic- I decided on going to cosmetology school because I’ve always had a passion for helping people and love making people feel their best selves. I had gone to other universities and had always ended up feeling that it wasn’t for me. I had always loved the beauty industry ever since I was a little girl, so I did some research and saw that International Institute of Cosmetology was close by where I lived, so I decided to sign up.
✨My Ah Hah moments in school were (Times you realized this is what you should be doing)?
An ah ha moment I had was my first client. She fully trusted me even knowing she was my first real client and had so much faith in me and told me how much she loved the way her hair came out and how great I did.
✨Where do you see yourself when you finish school?
I currently work at gallery salon as an assistant so I see myself continuing to work there and soon become a stylist there.
✨What advice would you give someone looking into Cosmetology school?
It’s very challenging physically and mentally, so I would say you have to push through and to not give up and it’ll fly by. I would also say to make the most of it! Don’t be too hard on yourself, have fun, make friends, talk to everyone and just meet as many people as you can!

✨What made you decide cosmetology & go to IIC?
I knew since early high school that I wanted to start a career in cosmetology. I fell in love with the salon I was going to & admired how dedicated the stylists were! I lovedddd seeing all the before & after pictures and wanted to be able to create transformations like that myself! I chose IIC because I know SO many successful stylists who began their careers there & heard wonderful things about the program!
✨My Ah Hah moments in school were (times you realized this is what you should be doing)?Where do you see yourself when you finish school?
My biggest “AHA” moment in school was when I was cutting layers on a client- for a while I struggled with grasping the concept of projection angles & sectioning for layers until it all clicked! Miss Eva was guiding me through a haircut and all of a sudden it all made sense!
✨Where do you see yourself when you finish school?
When I finish cosmetology school, I see myself continuing my education (indefinitely), enrolling in another hair extension certification course, perfecting my craft & FOILING!!!
✨What advice would you give someone looking into Cosmetology school?
For anyone who is considering cosmetology school- do it. It was the best decision I’ve ever made. Especially going to International Institute of Cosmetology. I love all of my educators, have met so many new friends, have learned SO SO much in a short amount of time, and have only fallen in love with doing hair even more. If you know this is the path you see yourself taking, jump on it. You won’t regret it.
