Beauty ChangesLives mission is making beauty & wellness a first-choice profession and empowering the next generation of beauty professionals. This truly is the case with this summer’s recepient,Novia. Novia’s story is one of faith, perseverance, and purpose.
We asked questions to learn more about the student’s journey, what was the inspiration to apply, and what this scholarship means to Novia.
✨How did you first hear about the Beauty Changes Lives scholarship?
I actually came across it earlier this year on TikTok! I was researching different ways to get financial assistance for school, and Beauty Changes Lives kept coming up. I remember thinking, this could be a great opportunity to help me on my journey.
✨What motivated you to apply?
Being in the early stages of entrepreneurship, I knew every dollar counted — especially while balancing home and family life. After losing my job in 2020, I went through about five years of financial ups and downs. So when I saw this opportunity, I told myself, “Why not try?”
✨How does receiving this $2,500 scholarship impact you personally and professionally?
It honestly means a lot. It doesn’t cover everything, but it’s a blessing I don’t take for granted. Every bit of support helps ease the load and allows me to focus on growing, learning, and building my career in the beauty industry.
✨What advice would you give to other students who are thinking about applying for scholarships?
Go for it! The worst that can happen is a “no,” but if you never try, you’ll never know. Have faith — even if it’s just the size of a mustard seed — and believe that what’s meant for you will find you.
