✨What made you decide cosmetology & go to IIC?
I’ve always known I wanted to be a cosmetologist at a young age. I enjoy making others feel beautiful and confident about themselves each and every day. Beauty trends, techniques, and products are always changing and there’s always something new to learn. I chose IIC because I saw many people I knew attend and love every moment of it. I loved how they share the student’s work and rewarded them. It was certainly somewhere I knew I was meant to be.
✨My Ah Hah moments in school were (Times you realized this is what you should be doing)?
My Ah Ha moment was when I had two specific clients come in every month since phase 2. Even when I was learning each time, I had them in my chair, they would leave thanking me, loving what they saw and mention seeing me again. That’s what made me feel “I’m meant for this”
✨Where do you see yourself when you finish school?
When I finish school, I see myself prospering and growing at the salon I am at. The stylist and my boss are who make it worth it all and beyond encouraging. They’re all so beyond talented and I cannot wait to learn from all of them.
✨What advice would you give someone looking into Cosmetology school?
If I were to give advice to someone looking into cosmetology school, I would suggest making sure it’s what they want. To obtain all the information while going through school, grow as a person, learning something new every day. The list could go on but this field is beyond beautiful to be a part of and If it’s what you want, you’ll love every minute of it. Especially at International Institute of Cosmetology.

✨What made you decide cosmetology & go to IIC?
From an early age I grew up going to my aunt who is a hair stylist, and ever since my first haircut I always admired the way she was able to make people feel beautiful and I knew that was something I wanted to do one day. When I was a senior in high school and everyone was writing their college essays, I wrote mine for IIC, knowing that one day I’d be able to make people feel beautiful as well.
✨My Ah Hah moments in school were (times you realized this is what you should be doing)?Where do you see yourself when you finish school?
One of my ah hah moments was my first ever client. She made my passion burn even stronger, not only was she my first client but she was also a walk in. Even though I was super nervous, I looked past that, and by the time I finished her hair and saw her smile in the mirror, I knew this was exactly where I was supposed to be.
✨Where do you see yourself when you finish school?
When I finish school, I see myself in a salon making people smile one day at a time.
✨What advice would you give someone looking into Cosmetology school?
My biggest advice to someone looking into cosmetology school would be to not be too hard on yourself. Doing hair is an art and there’s not just one way to do it. there are so many different techniques, and it takes some trial and error to find what works for you. so don’t overthink things and stay focused. Always remember why you started, it gets hard sometimes but you always need to remember why you’re doing this and the passion you have for hair. Start studying for that state board early!
