Aesthetics involves the study of skin care, body care, hair removal and makeup. Aestheticians are skin care specialists who enhance the skin’s beauty through the use of facials, massage and makeup. Skin care is one of the fastest growing areas in the beauty and spa industry. The beauty and spa industry is evolving and expanding, which makes your opportunities unlimited.

In this program you will learn how to treat and beautify the skin and pamper the mind, body and spirit as well. Our program is an in-depth program that will provide you with the fundamental concepts and techniques of aesthetics.

The Curriculum Consists of the Following:

Career Essentials: You will study the components of a healthy mind and body, effective communication and teamwork in the work place. Also undergo an in-depth study of the science of skin care including anatomy, skin physiology, chemistry, ecology, electricity and electrical equipment.

Hands on treatments and services include facials for various skin types, hair removal, pedicures, spa manicures, make-up design and make-up services. You will also be exposed to advanced treatments and aesthetics in the medical field.

International Institute of Cosmetology works exclusively with Pivot Point’s Salon Fundamentals Aesthetics textbook and work book. Dermalogica is our exclusive professional skin care product provider.
