sitant Director of Education at Plainville campus, has been a cosmetologist for over 12 years. She is very passionate about hair coloring.She has attended many advanced classes in coloring and cutting with Wella, Paul Mitchell, Graham Webb, and Redken.She has achieved a premier level of knowledge in Chemistry and Science combined with Art and Fashion from the Hair Color Academy. Ms. Angelas enthusiasm and dedication helps to motivate every student here at IIC.

Gina Werner
Ms. Gina, Assistant Director of Education at Wethersfield campus, is a licensed stylist with 20+ years of experience and knowledge. She constantly seeks advanced education in many different aspects of the hair and fashion industries, as well as furthering her certification in vocational education. She is a color expert, advanced precision cutting specialist, trained MAC make-up artist, a certified nail technician, and has attained initial certification in vocational education.
She has built her knowledge at advanced educational forums such as: Wella, Pivot Point International, Toni & Guy, Redken Exchange NYC, among many others.
Ms. Gina is extremely passionate about teaching and inspires our students with her own professional experiences. One of her favorite aspects of teaching is to challenge her students to take their creative visions and apply them to create works of art.

Nancy, a licensed Massage Therapist and certified Esthetician brings a working knowledge of Salon and Spa atmotsphere to the classroom.
Nancy has worked in both salon and day spa environments, but has found it most rewarding to educate students about this industry.

Joanne Palazzo
Ms. Joanne, a cosmetologist of thirty years and salon owner for thirteen years, joins us as an instructor of cosmetology and a Pivot Point participant. She has attended several advanced courses in hair cutting and coloring, by means of John and Suzanne Chadwick, Paul Mitchell, and Redkin, and is still furthering her education for teaching certification. She is enthusiastic, passionate and encourages students to meet their goals.

Ariana Texidor
Ms. Ariana is an alumni of The International Institute of Cosmetology and graduated in 2004. She has worked as a hairdresser at Gugliottis Hair Fashion while obtaining her associates from Manchester Community College in Early Childhood Education. She continually seeks classes to sharpen her skills and has done so on the following: ISO, Mastering the Palette Framesi Master Colorist, Mens Cutting Class, Long Hairdressing Demonstration, Razor Cutting, Wella Color Certification. She has very straight forward, hands on method of teaching which helps students grasp concepts easily.

Teena Gugliotti
Teena started out working in the makeup industry for Philosophy Cosmetics, as well as for Laura Mercier, as a traveling makeup artist throughout the Connecticut, Massachusetts and New York areas. She then went on to get her cosmetology license at The International Institute of Cosmetology. Upon becoming a licensed hairdresser, she went to work for The Gugliottis and has since been with them for about six years. During that time she accumulated over ten years experience with makeup allowing her to combine the two professions as she began teaching Hair Extension and Makeup classes at The International Institute

Alison Underwood--Ive wanted to do hair pretty much my entire life. So I began my career here at the International Institute of Cosmetology in 2007. During my time as a student, I received an education that has helped me be a very successful cosmetologist over the past 3 years. Also while attending IIC I earned my Balmain Extension Certification & Student of the month.
After earning my license as a cosmetologist, I went through several color classes with Goldwell which made me more confident in achieving the perfect color for every client. Ive also received training with Deva. Where I learned how to handle and cut curly hair.
Presently I rent a chair at the Den Salon in Rocky Hill. I specialized in all types of extensions, up-dos, cuts & Color. I believe that I have grown to such a well rounded, confident cosmetologist.

Shalom has over 9 years of salon/day spa experience. With many years of continuing education her specialty is extensions, color, cut, and up dos perms & relaxers. Loves learning new techniques and passing the info onto students that are eager to learn. Has great customer service skills and effective problem solving solutions.
